DealOnALawyer.com is owned and operated by Forrest Collins, an attorney and mediator in Portland, Oregon. Forrest maintains an active mediation and Collaborative law practice, although much of his time is devoted to this project. Forrest was a sole practitioner for five years before teaming with Jonathan Berman in September, 2011 to form the family law firm of Collins Berman, P.C.

Forrest was trying to accomplish a couple things with this project. From the client’s perspective, Forrest wanted to create a “deal website” that made legal help more affordable for everyone. From the lawyer’s perspective, Forrest wanted to create an opportunity for lawyers (many of whom have a limited advertising budget) to get free online advertising. The outcome – DealOnALawyer.com – creates a win-win situation for everyone involved.
