Here's how it works: You begin be creating a free account that allows you to review profiles of lawyers in your area who provide the services you need at a deal you can afford. Next, you contact one or more lawyers to decide who you would like to meet with – just like you normally would. Once you find an attorney to consult with, you go ahead and schedule a consultation directly with that lawyer’s office – just like you normally would. After your consultation is scheduled, you login to DealOnALawyer.com to purchase your deal. Each deal gets you a free consultation and between 5% and 25% off your lawyer fees.

• A: Tell us and we’ll try to find one for you! Simply provide your name, location and the type of lawyer you are looking for and we will try to locate a lawyer who meets the DealOnALawyer criteria. Your information will NOT be provided to that lawyer. You will be notified when a qualifying lawyer joins the site.

• A: This process is not that different from the normal process of hiring a lawyer. You begin by calling and speaking with a lawyer that you find in the DealOnALawyer directory (just like you normally would). If you are interested in meeting with that lawyer you go ahead and schedule a consultation directly with that lawyer’s office (just like you normally would). After you have scheduled the consultation you log in to DealOnALawyer and purchase your deal with that lawyer. You will be emailed a certificate that you will bring with you to the consultation. The certificate gets you a free consultation and a reduced rate if you hire that lawyer.

• A: Absolutely not. We do not trade it or share it either.

• A: It could not be easier! Signing up is a matter of creating a login. You do not have to give any personal information unless you actually purchase a consultation.

• A: DealOnALawyer was designed for solo attorneys and small firms who have a limited marketing budget. They get free advertising on this site in exchange for their agreement to offer a reduced rate. These lawyers are no different from any other lawyers.
  
  
• Q: What is the criteria for lawyers to join?
• A: Lawyers are required to certify that they have been in practice more than three years and that they will only take cases in their main practice areas. All lawyers on this site are subject to random audit. If a lawyer is caught falsifying information they are immediately removed from the site.
  
  
• Q: What if I don’t like the lawyer that I consult with?
• A: That could happen regardless of whether or not you use this service. Not all lawyers will be a good fit for you. Our satisfaction guarantee allows you to purchase a second consultation at a reduced rate.
  
  
• Q: Do you guarantee the work of an attorney?
• A: No. We offer a directory of attorneys who meet certain criteria, but we cannot guarantee any attorney’s work.
  
  
• Q: Can I use this website if I have already hired a lawyer?
• A: You can use this site if you are looking for a different lawyer. You cannot use this site to get a discount with a particular lawyer if you have already hired that lawyer.

• A: No. The lawyer may choose to reduce the amount of the retainer but is not required to do so.
